When is it too late to get admissions help?

Every day, we’re inching closer to college application deadlines.

For some families, this is a time of focus and preparation. For others, it’s “panic season.”

It’s also the time of the year when I start receiving messages every day from parents who are desperate for help with their seniors.

They’re seeking guidance on things that could have been addressed earlier, such as:

  • Reviewing their college list.

  • Planning their child’s application and how they should present themselves (their Student Brand.)

  • Brainstorming and writing their essay and supplemental essays.

With only 6-7 weeks until early decision deadlines, pulling together a winning application will be a scramble.

Some activities like editing essays and finalizing college lists can still be tackled…

But there’s very little that can be done to change the overall profile and the student’s positioning.

Their GPA is set, their extracurriculars are locked in, and their projects and achievements should already be done.

For seniors, the window for making substantial improvements has closed.

As much as I want to help, I often turn these families away. That’s because my top priority is to ensure the success of our current students.

It’s also why, aside from Application Reviews, I don’t take on new students after January of their Junior year.

For younger students, however, the window for improvement is still open.

There’s a lot we can do to make sure they never face this last-minute panic.

If you have a junior and have considered getting them an admissions counselor but never have, now is the time.

This year, I’m also offering a new option for coaching and support.

Inside the College Admissions Academy, I can guide even more students and share what other successful high schoolers have done.

It’s also more affordable than my 1:1 premium consulting packages.

A win-win for everyone.

If you’ve been on the fence about signing up your 11th grader for the Academy, I assure you, the peace of mind that comes with having a plan makes it worth it.

Don’t wait until it’s too late.
