Student steals the spotlight in our last academy group session!

And one of my best admission tips for freshman-year students.

Yesterday’s Admissions Academy session started off with a fun guitar performance.

CJ, one of our students, played a great guitar solo for us!

It was the perfect way to kick off our discussion on the Activities Section of the Common App.

As I’ve often mentioned, I believe all students should get familiar with the Common App as early as freshman year.

This might seem early to some, but I’ve found it’s the best way to reduce stress during the application process.

The reason is simple:

When your child knows what's coming, they have ample time to prepare.

This works even better when you add the tips I shared with students yesterday, such as:

  • Which activities are best to prioritize for packed schedules…

  • How to organize the application for maximum impact…

  • Which activities admissions officers notice first…

And so on…

One of the best parts of our coaching sessions is how much students learn from each other and share their experiences.

Take Joaquin, for instance. He shared the details of his volunteer work at an NGO, teaching art classes to underprivileged children.

Then there's CJ, our resident guitar player, who started an after-school music program at a nearby elementary school.

And Lina, who shared her plans for "Golden Connections," an initiative to foster meaningful bonds between younger and older generations.

These are great initiatives that need to be strategically highlighted in the small space of the Common App.

While most students wait until senior year deadlines to fill out these sections, our students are already thinking about how to make their applications stand out.

That's exactly why we built the College Admissions Academy.

For $97 a month, your child gets access to:

  • Bi-weekly group coaching sessions where I help them build standout applications and answer all their questions.

  • Access to our four game-changing masterclasses (Student Brand, Find Your Passion, Strategic Edge, Crash Course on the Common App.)

  • A community of motivated students who support each other.

  • Recordings of all previous Academy coaching calls.

If you're ready to give your child the competitive edge they need to win the college admissions game...

I would love to welcome them to the College Admissions Academy.
