One thing I would’ve done differently.

Many of my students experience this issue before working with me.

As a parent, you want what's best for your children.

You want them to succeed, to be happy, and to have every opportunity available to them.

But when it comes to college admissions, it's easy to believe that they need to do everything to impress a few strangers they'll never meet.

I know this because many of my students experience this issue before working with me.

And after reflecting on my own experiences, I realized I've faced the same challenges.

When I was in high school, I focused on doing anything that I thought would look good to colleges.

Even though I enjoyed many of these activities, they often pulled me away from the things I really cared about.

All that pressure and sacrifice was solely because I thought it was what colleges wanted.

Looking back, there's one thing I would've done differently:

I would’ve been more selective about where I put my time and energy.

I know for sure that, if I applied to Columbia today using the “well-rounded” strategy, I might not have gotten in.

Yet, so many students today keep pushing themselves and piling on stress because they don’t realize there’s a better way.

By spending some time early on to plan and understand what they want (ideally around 9th or 10th grade), these talented students can improve their chances of getting into any school and program they actually want to attend.

That’s been my ultimate goal with my Facebook Group, my latest book, and the College Admissions Academy.

I want to help these students reach their full potential while still enjoying their high school years.

As a mom of three kids myself, that’s all I want for them too.

If you’re looking for guidance to help your child navigate this with confidence, there’s still time for them to join the Academy.

The next call is in less than 2 days and will dive deeper into building a Student Brand.

I would love to have your child there as part of our ambitious community.
