A few months ago, a family got in touch feeling stuck with their kids' college applications.
The son's been all about MIT since middle school and hasn't looked anywhere else since.
Being first-generation immigrants added another layer of challenge.
They mentioned that grades dictate pretty much everything back in their home country.
This means students with high scores get in, and those with low scores don’t.
Simple.
But here, the situation is different, which made them feel like they were playing blind.
