A new school year is here, and that means our kids will be catching up with old friends and making new ones.

They will also begin picking up new behaviors, slang, and ways of seeing the world from their friends.

It’s just human to copy those around us, especially during times of change and growth.

In fact, I was recently talking to a mom who was surprised to hear her son using TikTok lingo, even though he doesn't have an account! 😂

It sounds funny, but it also points to a deeper truth.

If we don't help our kids establish a strong sense of self…

…they will mirror it from their peers, and social media.

That’s why I keep telling students to create their own Student Brand.

It might look like just an admissions strategy, but it's so much more than that.

It's the perfect tool to help them grow up, build confidence, and face the real world.
