Dear reader, happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸🦅

Regardless of the recent negativity in the media and the news about our country, today is a perfect day to reflect on the opportunities and freedom our country provides.

And even though I wasn’t born here, I‘m particularly grateful.

Lithuania was anything but a place of independence and freedom when I was a little girl. 

I never would have received the quality of education and opportunities for success if my mother hadn't taken the risk to move us here.

And I know that it’s not perfect now…

But I still believe this is the best place for our children to have a chance at fulfilling their unlimited potential.

No other country provides a mix of opportunities, education pathways, and personal freedoms.

To me, that’s worth celebrating.

I would love to hear how everyone else's families are celebrating or if today has a special meaning to anyone else.
