Guidance and wisdom of a trusted mentor

The best way to unlock our child's potential.

While looking through some documents yesterday, I found a picture of myself with the great Professor Robert J. Shiller from Yale.

He's a Nobel Prize Winner in Economics and the author of the book 'Irrational Exuberance'.

This picture made me think about how, throughout my life, I've had caring mentors who have helped shape my path.

To name some:

  • The high school teachers and counselors helped me, a daughter of a single immigrant mother, prepare for college and get into my dream school, Columbia University.

  • A senior seminar professor from Columbia who helped review my first book

  • And all the brilliant professors I worked with in a 1-1 setting during my five years studying for my Master's and PhD at the University of Oxford.

When I think about my most meaningful accomplishments—both in my personal and professional life—I struggle to pinpoint a single one that was achieved without the guidance and wisdom of a trusted mentor.

I'm sure you remember your own mentorship stories fondly.

Mentorship is, without a doubt, the best way to unlock our child's potential and help them accomplish their biggest dreams.

This is why I create the same mentor-mentee relationship with my students.

For example:

Selecting the best classes and extracurriculars, and guiding my mentees on their projects is a very rewarding experience.

But mentorship goes deeper...

My goal is to help my students grow personally, boost their confidence, and motivate them to chase their passions and dreams with everything they've got.

This is how they stand out from other applicants.

This is what wins them admission into their dream colleges.

And this helps them create a life they (and you) can be proud of.

After all, what’s the point of getting into the most prestigious colleges if not to follow your passion, and learn the skills to do work that matters to you?

Life doesn’t just stop for our children once they get into college.

But we can guide them through that first step.

That's why we're building the College Admissions Academy.

The only college admissions program created with the values of mentorship in mind.
