Atomic college admissions advice

The "best time" to start preparing for college?

Today I stumbled upon this quote from James Clear, the author of "Atomic Habits"...

"It's never the right time, but right now is usually the best time."

James Clear

This got me thinking about the most asked questions by parents: When is the "best time" to start preparing for college?

Unfortunately, there's no one-size-fits-all answer.

It does depend on your child's goals.

Here's the thing:

If your child is a highly ambitious student with big dreams and aspirations?

The best time was yesterday…

And the next best time is today.

You see, this is probably the #1 reason why every year, thousands of talented students with "Ivy League" dreams end up wondering if they just weren't good enough.

It has nothing to do with their worthiness.

They simply waited too long to start preparing, probably made some key mistakes along the way, and now the doors are closed.

But this isn't the case for every student.

Some kids don't really mind where they end up for college.

For them, college prep can start later on—arguably as late as junior year.

But if your child is part of the high-achiever group then time is of the essence.

Remember…

"It's never the right time, but right now is usually the best time."

To your child’s success,
