Admissions Academy for 11th graders?
Junior year is when you really start to feel the pressure.
As the College Admissions Academy launched last week, I got quite a few messages from parents of 11th graders.
I get it, junior year is when you really start to feel the pressure.
Students are juggling a heavy course load, standardized tests, extracurriculars, essay writing, and looming application deadlines.
It’s a lot to handle, especially without the right support.
But while I would've loved to welcome their children into our community of ambitious students…
I had to be honest with them.
Right now, the Academy is designed for students in their early high school years or younger.
However, their questions got me thinking...
What if we started a specialized cohort for 11th graders?
A program that helps with junior year challenges and sets them up for a strong college application.
Instead of our current curriculum, this cohort would focus on personal support through small group coaching calls.
Students would have a space to ask questions, voice their concerns, and get guidance throughout junior year.
It’s just an idea for now, but if you have an 11th grader and think this could help, please reply with the word “interested.”
I’d love to hear your thoughts, too.
What kind of support would be the most impactful for your child right now?
What’s currently stressing them out?
What are their (and your) biggest concerns as you start junior year?
Please reply and let me know!
To your child’s success,
