A short but important post.
As crazy as it seems, summer is almost over.
Today’s email is short but important.
Depending on your child’s school district, there’s somewhere around 2 - 4 weeks until school starts up again.
As crazy as it seems, summer is almost over.
Now’s a perfect time to have a quick check-in to ensure that summer goals have been achieved and to start preparing for a successful academic year.
Here are a few questions to help kickstart the check-in for kids in each age group:
Rising Seniors:
How far along is your child with their essay?
What, if any, blockers are preventing them from finishing it?
Rising Juniors:
What else can your child do to make their life easier before the most challenging year kicks off?
One more practice test?
Finishing their college list research?
Rising Sophomores:
Do they feel comfortable about their Student Brand and positioning?
Are they clear on what activities and potential breakthrough achievements they need to support their narrative?
Rising Freshmen:
Are they excited for this next step of the journey?
Is there any more prep they need to do before they make the “jump”?
Middle School and Earlier:
Are their interests and focus areas starting to get clearer?
Are there any other activities they need to try or that they can get rid of?
These questions will help you and your child gain clarity and set goals for the school year.
This is the best way to set them up for another exciting year of growth, development, and achievement.
And if you find these shorter but powerful tips helpful, just reply and let me know : )
